The Rehabilitation Center at Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee is a regional referral center specializing in stroke, orthopedics, amputation and neurological conditions.

The Center provides comprehensive rehabilitation services designed to return patients to the community with maximum function and independence, as quickly and as safely as possible. Drawing on the specialized programs and expert resources, a comprehensive and individualized care plan is developed and followed according to the patient’s unique needs for maximum recovery.

The Rehabilitation Center at Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee emphasizes early intervention and a team approach to rehabilitation, with the patient, the family and a team of specialists forming a treatment plan. Working closely with our rehabilitation specialists, the patient, family and referring physician achieve the highest attainable goals through a sequence of measurable, achievable and individualized steps. Supported by state-of-the-art equipment, specialized quality treatment programs, a positive environment and a thorough approach to family communication and education, each patient and treatment team has the resources required for the fastest, safest and most cost-efficient pathway to recovery.

Patients are screened on the basis of physician or self referral and services are provided without regard to the patient’s age, color, race, national origin, creed or disability.

Our services are covered by most major health insurance plans, including Medicare. Nursing care and physician coverage are provided 24 hours a day.
