Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee sits on the banks of the Tennessee River and is the flagship hospital of the Baptist Health System. Built in 1948, this tertiary hospital has become the premier facility for the treatment of heart and cancer, including the area’s only Gamma Knife for the treatment of brain abnormalities. The hospital is also known for senior services, the sleep program, and rehabilitation. The hospital offers a 24-hour Emergency Room and all acute care services.

Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee has been recognized over the years as a Top 100 Hospital and Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospital. The Baptist Health System remains the only healthcare system to receive the Tennessee Governor’s Quality Award.
